Hi!  Halton Police would like to use a commercial map source with Geofencing.  We took a look at OpenStreets (as delivered) in the Multi-Map but prefer to use a commercial map source with support and ongoing service.  We turned on Google but then learned that Geofencing is only available in the Multi-Map configuration.

I can't find any documentation on how to configure the Multi-Map to use another map source, e.g. Bing.  It seems the vemap configuration is the same as the google map and would not support Geofencing (i.e. not Multi-Map).

We would greatly appreciate any information and assistance.

The Map Layers are initially configured via caddbm, in a few places, e.g.

1. Geographic>Map Data Sources

2. Parameter Records list cad>CadMap

3. Parameter Records table cad>MapLegend

These are then extracted into the mobileMMapSettings.xml file and placed on the MPS machines, typically under WsgApplicationData\configurations\customPublicSafetyMaps.

I think the extraction utility is delivered with I/MDT, let me see if I can spot it....
Look in the MPS Configuration Help (delivered with MPS to the Documentation\en folder as MobilePublicSafety_Config.chm) under the Extract Mobile Files Dialog Box section.
