Passing commands to MPS from outside MPS

I want to be able to add remarks into an event history or unit history but from another mobile application (not MPS but in-house application)

I looked into help files and somewhere it talks about archive folder "toclient".

For example, I wish to be able to put an XML file into a folder (like Toclient) and hope that MPS will take that file, take the content of the file and execute what's in it (like add remark to an event history)

Is it possible? If yes, any documentation would be appreciate

There's no way to push commands into MPS from another local application. The ToClient folder is just a record of the messages that MPS received from the server where it is logged in. It is possible to add javascript to MPS that would read data from someplace and act on it, but it would have to be inititiated by a user, or it could poll for a file on a regular basis.

The proper way to do what you describe is to hook up to the server (probably through the IFCAD or InterCAD products) - I don't know much more about that.

Thanks

All other local applications have the functionnality to put a file into a specific folder. So I should probably look for a javascript that will read them and find a way to poll that folder on a regular basis
