Creating a CAD event with EdgeFrontier - IFCADEventCreate injection command
Posted on Oct 19, 2016

Hello All!

I'm working on a project that requires the functionality to programmatically create CAD events. The IFCAD930 system in EdgeFrontier has a built-in command to do this, but I'm running into an issue with location verification. I'm able to create CAD events with perfectly formatted and validated addresses, but receive an AckNak error message for any address that has verification problems.

My Question: What is the recommended way of obtaining a validated address from EdgeFrontier? Are there other options outside of EdgeFrontier?

Thanks for your time!

Dan

SS911_ReQueue_Missed_Events_Or_Updates.XML - Primary EdgeFrontier Re-queue system SS911_Send_ CAD _ Event _ReQueue_ Command .XML (Optional) – Secondary EdgeFrontier system which demonstrates the re-queue functionality in the primary system. CADEventRequeue Visual Studio Solution (Optional) – Support Staff application which can be used to manually insert events into the queue based upon event number or agency ID and date / time.

Yes, the Web Application writes directly to the queue used by the ReQueue_Missed_ Events _Or_Updates EdgeFrontier system. In our configuration, the queue (SQL table) was located on a different database server than the Hexagon Live_930 database. If this re-queue system will be used by another agency in a similar way, a connection to their database will need to be setup in EdgeFrontier to allow access to the queue.
