We have new CF-33s that are running Windows 10 and using the recommended display resolution of 2160 x 1440. Our mobile tech guys scaled the text, apps, etc 175% for the RMS client. Our MPS is still very small, with small buttons etc. We want to start rolling out the new CF33's with MPS 9.3 MR6. Do we have to decrease the resolution for MPS or is there a better way forward, e.g. changing the styles??

Would love to hear if someone has already been down this path!

Thanks Chip! So if Halton decides to continue down this path, I need to make sure they understand that I have to adjust the css?

BTW, this version of Windows 10 recommends 125%...

I think you'll find it requires more than CSS adjustments, but you may get far enough. It's possible some other site implementation has made a higher scale factor work, but there are definitely issues.

(My understanding is that the recommendation from the OS varies by hardware (screen size and resolution capability), rather than version of Windows)

Martin County implamanted the CF33 and also the CF54. for the cf33 on windows 10. adjusting the scale isn't enough and it is more that just editing the css files

We ended up creating a seperate configuration, ingrviewer.exe config file for each. Many of the forms, views, etc needed modifing as well. even the bitmaps for things like the gps bar meter and the other icons on the status bar need work. I didn't do the bitmaps our people could deal with the ity bitty icons.

I can send you the files I had to modify. I think I did a pretty good job of putting comments in the files for every change I had to make. I figure the high resolution laptops/tablets are here to stay and since it took a couple of weeks of hunting down every little place in the config files. I did it for future hardware refreshes.

unfortunatly Martin County is due west from Hurricane Dorian less than a hundred miles away. Reach out to me next week and I can put this together for you.
