Hi Folks,

I've been away too long. Can anyone help an old gtecher with getting Metadata Explorer active using Gtech Administrator. I have the developer user defined with the Administrator role and the GFrammeCommand.MetadataExplorer g3e_roleassociation set to Administrator, but the Metadata Explorer selection is not active on the Administrative tab. Thanks in advance.

Hi Bruce,

Perhaps resetting the usermenus ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Intergraph\GTechnology\Program\RemoveUserMenus.exe") will solve the problem.

Are you looging into an Administrative License G/Tech Account?

We have seperate Designer License Acounts and Administrative License Accounts, with seperate logins.

I have to log in as an Administrator into the Administrative License Account to access Admistrative tools such as Metadata Explorer.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm definitely using the Administrator License when trying to get this particular configuration to allow me to use Metadata Explorer. I have used another configuration/schema user (same client) to get Metadata Explorer active, but this particular configuration/schema is being stubborn. I double checked using the lmutil to make sure I was using the Adminstrator license.

For those interested in the solution to this. I didn't pay close enough attention to the G3E_LOCATION field in the G3E_DATACONNECTION metadata table. The configuration to use with the developer user (G3E_TYPE=1) is named there and I was signing on to the wrong configuration.
