IFCAD report originating actions

Good day!

(Finally) beginning to look at using EF to develop interfaces to external systems. Just wondering if there's a list somewhere of the various originating actions associated with the various reports. For example, if I'm trying to automate sending emails based on manual Notifications, is there an originating action I should be looking for?

Yes, I know that I/Mail or I/Page already does this, but we're not interested in spending that money. :-/

Hi Steve,

See the attached spreadsheet for a list of originating actions and the types of reports they generate. This might not be completely updated, but I think it's pretty close.

The first sheet shows unsolicited reports (i.e. reports automatically pushed to CCEF).

The second sheet show solicited reports (i.e. when you invoke a command inbound into ICAD to create an event, for example, this shows the report you should expect to receive back as a result of running the command).

Finally, I'd recommend you look at upgrading your IFCAD and EF to the latest versions and/or MRs. There have been some enhancements added to increase performance.

I'll post another reply following this one that has a graphical representation of the unsolicited reports and orginating actions, as well (might be easier to look at).

Is there a place where this info is available for different versions? I'd like to be able to send a link to our development team so that they have it as a resource. Thanks

Attached are two slides...

Slide 1 is pretty basic and shows the types (categories) of reports available and the commands available (this is for IFCAD v9.3)

Slide 2 shows the unsolicited reports and originating Actions (this is for IFCAD v9.3)

OK, maybe it's me (probably is, actually), but while I can see "raw" data for unit and event reports, I can't seem to see any data for notifications and/or messages. I'm attaching a screenshot, maybe someone could give me a clue? :-)

Did you have to change your config so that it is listening for that report? And if so, where did you change it?

We are also going to be creating a system that will rely on messages so I would be interested to know what you guys ended up doing.

Bascially, I just modified the demo system "IFCADReports_Template" and subscribed to the appropriate "feeds" from IFCAD920. The problem is that I'm not seeing anything in the incoming series data for either subscription. With the exception of what is being subscribed, they're identical to the other series, which work fine. I guess I'll call support and get some direct help.

If/when you get a reply back, I'd be very interested as well on how to 'turn on' the feeding of data into the Data Provider. I'm looking for the IFCADMessageReport, which sounds like it is behaving similarly to your situation (no incoming series data).
