Hello,

We are running CAD 9.2 MR5 and since our upgrade last spring, we are having artifacting problems. Our hardware specs meet Intergraph's requirements. The user will see units overlapping and colors mixing on the Unit Monitor. Or see the remains of a popup window in the event Remarks window. Or when they right click on the event monitor, the bottom of the menu sometimes isn't visible and other times, when you close the menu, it leaves part of it behind on the screen. We have hundreds of examples. See the attachment for a small sample.

We have worked with HP and they cannot find any issue with the workstations or monitors.

Has anyone else experienced these issues?

Thanks,

Bev.

We are on 9.0.1. To avoid memory leak issues or other weird Windows issues, I have instructed our night supervisors to restart all CAD workstations at least once every 24 hours.

Have you tried different video cards?

I vaguely recall having some repaint issues at one stage (Nvidia NVS and CAD 9.1) - and issuing a RedrawWindow() with RDW_INTERNALPAINT to either the remarks viewer or the whole CAD form seemed to redraw the affected parts. I think they issues went away with either a Service pack or a graphics driver update, but can't find details. I recall also some issues with one of the .NET versions or patches that caused the WPF based monitors to have weird artifacts. It could be anything from graphics hardware to software, so best of luck!

We are also experiencing this artifacting issue with 9.3, but only in the call remarks of the create event window. We have updated our video cards, drivers and windows updates and still occurring and rebooting regularly. Any ideas?
