BOSS (Batch-Oriented Scanning and Indexing Software) is a software solution that enables your agency to scan large volumes of printed materials into the RMS (Records Management System), index and attach the results to specific Accident, Incident and Court Document records. Storing documents electronically provides a means to quickly locate and access these documents in the RMS.
BOSS combines two technologies: records management and document management. BOSS may be used to scan, index, and store hardcopy documents as a PDF (Portable Document Format) file and attach the documents to an RMS record.
Once a scanned document is linked to an RMS record, the document may be accessed by searching for and displaying that RMS record.
