For what it is worth not MR4 and IE8 (right now) but, we were/are experiencing constant disconnect/reconnect messages within history with MPS 9.2 MR2 we found the issue was only happening when connected to our Cisco VPN and during normal business hours. As of yesterday we found a UDP flood occuring that is triggering the UDP flood protection feature on the network devices which caused packets to be dropped and thus performance of all applications on the tablets to drop drastically (in peak times without VPN simple query takes <5 secs at the same time with VPN 2+ minutes). As the flood doesn't start until we do something in MPS the next question is why is MPS sending this much UDP data when the VPN connection appears to be solid.
We will keep an eye out for that possible UDP flood from MPS in our testing. With 370 MDTs (usually 210 active at any time) that could be significant.. especially with the low 3G data caps we have.
We have already seen a defect where the software gets into some kind of loop and is requesting/recieving continual RecallDispatch reports.. every two seconds or so.. we cant reproduce it but have seen it occur a few times now. We've provided logs and video on our SR for that defect. I'm not sure if this is related to your UDP flood or not.
