Using scripting syntax in the building of a path for a File Reader component

It would be excellent to allow the scripting syntax/value replacement in the file path field in some components.

In the example below, I would really like to pass in the name of the file I want to read based on a variable. However, in version 06.03.0000.04298, I am pretty certain this wont work.

 

Any idea if this functionality is available in a later EdgeFrontier release?

This will not work in the latest version of EdgeFrontier. What you can do is use the SetProperty action to set the file name before you read in the file. For the value you could then use the C:\@variable:FileName@ syntax to set the filename to read.

This action can be used to dynamiclly change the properties of a componet after the system is loaded.
