http://support.hexagonsafetyinfrastructure.com/infocenter/index?page=forums&topic=502071305a2c250179c00dd061007fca&actp=RSS

Hi:

We are currently running a pilot project in Winnipeg using Mobile Responder and other smartphone apps.

We have some Cases filed with Support that we aren't getting much traction on.

If you have similar issues please be sure to file a case if it is important to you as we will only get the fixes/enhancements if they hear from enough customers.

Our biggest priority is a "Change Location" function (with LOI) just like MPS.

Mobile Responder Cases (SRs):

P2:

No Change Location Functionality

Officer safety issue when leaving event location for investigation purposes etc.

LOI

Open Street Map Tiles Not Downloading on ios phones

P3:

Compose Message

Error on when attempting Terminal Seacrh

P4:

Unable to copy and paste to and from clipboard

This is especially important between different apps.

Eg: Note taking apps.

"UseMapLegendTableAsMapSource" Set to "true"

ArcGis is not supported

Add Event Comments form is not modal

Add comments form will close if you inadvertently touch another area of the screen causing you to lose the comments you were typing.

Clicking on Notification does not direct you to reason for notification.

Eg: If you get an Event Updated notification, clicking it does not take you to the event. This is the same with a new message etc.

No Notification Indicator (Red Eye) on Bolo Icon for Unread Bolos

Should be similar to new messages icon

Request Ability to Add Attachments to Bolos.

Subject/Vehicle images etc.

Similar to adding attachment to message/event

Unit Properties - Add Person

No ability to add your partner to your unit.

Lists (Event Type, Device)

Make lists into a "start typing ... filtered lookup list" or fast "spinner"

Rather than having to scroll through 1000 radios in an option list dropdown

Thanks,

Hi! Halton Police would like to use a commercial map source with Geofencing. We took a look at OpenStreets (as delivered) in the Multi-Map but prefer to use a commercial map source with support and ongoing service. We turned on Google but then learned that Geofencing is only available in the Multi-Map configuration.

I can't find any documentation on how to configure the Multi-Map to use another map source, e.g. Bing. It seems the vemap configuration is the same as the google map and would not support Geofencing (i.e. not Multi-Map).

We would greatly appreciate any information and assistance.

Does anyone have any recommendations for Android and iOS emulator software to use for testing and configuring MR?

This would be something secure but easy to deploy to multiple workstations for a pilot project.

I am finding BlueStacks to be easy to use but our security administrator won’t approve it because of it’s advertising etc.

Also, Android Studio, while free, is more of a developer app that needs a lot of resources and user training.

MR cannot be tested in the browser can it?

Thanks,

Hi!

I am troubleshooting connection issues and update delays in MPS 9.2 and 9.3.

What determines how often the monitors are updated? UEDelta is set to send a report every 5 seconds. However, in 9.3 the \data\archive\toClient\UeDeltaReports folder doesn't have a new report every 5 seconds. It looks like 6-8 per minute. Nothing fancy here as far as one uedelta/one agency/no isolation, normal cop shop.

In addition, the 'Last update' time, updates anywhere from 5 seconds to a minute. It seems to be somehow connected to GPS updates as well. If MPS has GPS and is moving, the monitor updates happen more frequently.

I would apprecieate any insight into how these pieces are related. And if there are any differences between 9.2, 9.3 and 9.4.

Thanks in advance!

We get this error ( See Picture ) " a socket operation was attempted to an unreachable network An unhandled exception occurred , and the application is terminating"

Then once the error is exited out it closes down MPS. Did or does anyone have this issue and if so how did you fix it?

Thanks

I have a customer that is seeking a customization that will record an integer entered by the MPS client into the unit tables (un_hi and possibly cd_units). The workflow supports volunteer fire brigades and is as follows:

Unmanned unit dispatched by CAD (has no personnel associated)

Once sufficient personnel arrive at the fire station, the unit marks themselves En Route on MPS.

A pop-up window presents to the MPS user with entry form to log the number of qualified personnel on board.

The number is written to the database along with the En Route status, presenting in un_hi as a single row.

The solution has to allow for easy reporting on the number of personnel on each unit assigned to an event. I have handled the forms (currently just writing a unit history comment), and can handle all the activity in getting the information into the Event Reports. The part I don't know how to handle is getting the custom fields updated with the ER command. A similar topic posted recently which was writing to cd_units, but was not associated with a status change and not recorded to the un_hi specifically. The post also did not detail how it was accomplished unfortunately.
